Frequently asked questions
What materials are the DipCaps packaging and fork make from?
Cup, lid and fork are of course made from a guaranteed safe, food service plastic. The same applies for the foil covering the meat and dip.

Why do I need to remove the adhesive label from the foil on the cup?
So that the pressure resulting from heating the cup can escape. There is a small hole in the foil covering the cup that the adhesive label seals. This preserves the freshness and cleanliness of the product.

What happens if I do not remove the adhesive label?
The adhesive label acts as a safety valve that protects the cup from the intense pressure that can occur during heating. Should you forget to remove the label, it will open and vent automatically, in the event too much pressure builds up. This does not in any way harm the product or diminish its enjoyability. Due to the high heat that may develop, it is possible that the plastic cup may become slightly deformed.
Can I just pour the dipping sauce directly over the meat and then place the cup in the microwave and heat?
Yes. It is also possible to prepare your delicious DipCap snack using this method. However, in using this method the meat will not be warmed as much as it would in the recommended method of preparation due to the missing foil cover.

What happens if I place the entire DipCap in the microwave?
It is not recommended that this be done as the foil covering the sauce can become loose, causing the sauce to overrun.

Why should the cup be shaken after 30 seconds?
By doing this the heat is evenly distributed in the cup and the meat does not become stuck together.

What happens if I heat the cup in the microwave longer than recommended?
Should you inadvertently heat the cup for several minutes in the microwave, the cup may become deformed. In any event, the meat will remain edible as the cup is made from a food compatible material.

Can I eat DipCaps cold?
Yes. Even cold the full range of DipCaps is delicious.

Can I freeze DipCaps?
Yes. You should, however, allow your DipCap to thaw in the refrigerator for 24 hours before heating.

Can I heat my DipCap in the oven?
No. Tillman's DipCaps are only suitable for microwave heating.
